New Publication in Nature Communications: Dietary Macronutrient Composition, Metabolomics, and Type 2 Diabetes Risk

I am excited to share that our work has just been published in Nature Communications! I’ve had the privilege of working with an incredible team, and I’m grateful to my PI, collaborators, and the study participants who made this work possible.

Our work examined how dietary carbohydrate-to-fat ratios influence metabolomic profiles and their associations with type 2 diabetes (T2D) risk and cardiometabolic risk factors in adults with overweight or obesity. Utilizing metabolomic methodologies, we identified diet-related metabolites, which may serve as markers of dietary patterns and provide potentially valuable insights into the pathophysiological mechanisms linked to these patterns.
